Explore Our Play Spaces
Spaces to Play, Connect & Belong
At St Patrick’s Koroit, we believe play is an important part of growing, learning and building friendships. Our students have access to a wide variety of indoor and outdoor play spaces, giving every child opportunities to be active, creative, social or simply enjoy some quiet time.
Our outdoor spaces include The Woods nature play area, a dedicated Junior Playground, a whole school playground, two ovals, an undercover basketball court and a netball court. Children can run, climb, explore, create, play sport and connect with friends across our spacious grounds. And of course, we can’t forget our chooks and seasonal calves to visit, care for and adore! They are a much loved part of life at St Patrick’s and provide another way for children to connect with nature and experience the joy of caring for animals.
We also recognise that not every child wants busy or active play. Our Quiet Area provides a calm space for passive play, while our indoor wellbeing and sensory spaces give students places to regulate, reset and recharge when needed. Our younger students also enjoy a dedicated indoor Junior Learning Play Space, supporting imaginative, creative and collaborative play.
With so many different spaces to choose from, children can find a place to play, explore, connect and belong in a way that works for them.

‘The Woods’ - Nature Play Space
The Woods is our nature play space where children can explore, create, take safe risks and learn through play. Featuring our new Sensory Garden and Yarning Circle, it’s a place to connect with nature, use imagination, play, wonder and belong.
Sensory and Wellbeing Play
We have four dedicated wellbeing and sensory spaces across our school, providing students with calm, welcoming places to pause, regulate, reset and recharge when they need them.
Junior Play Space
A special space for our younger learners to play, imagine, dress up, create and explore. Through play, children build friendships, grow their confidence and bring their imaginations to life.
