Our Catholic Identity

Our Catholic school aims to provide rich opportunities for students, staff and our community to engage in thoughtful dialogue with our Christian narrative in light of the Catholic teachings and values. We are open to all students from all backgrounds to experience our education service, respectful to all rights and religions.

“The Catholic education system endeavours to serve and reach out to an increasingly diverse community. Young people today are immersed in a globalising world and they are exposed to a multiplicity of cultures, social contexts and beliefs through personal experience, the media and other religions and world views. This pluralisation of world views is a real context of life and of schooling today. Schools, in partnership with parents and parishes, need to respond to this in the school program.”

“PEACE, LOVE, RESPECT” And, what it really means at St. Patrick’s Koroit

An integral part of our school and community is our school motto. Our motto reads, “Peace through love and respect” which is what we want our students to strive to achieve. At St Pat’s we believe that in order for students to be at peace they need only to love and respect the world around them which includes their fellow peers, their teachers and our very own school. This message is seen everywhere you look at our school as it is located in our school logo and on our school uniform and is a message that Jesus preaches in his teachings.

“ You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”

— Luke 10:27
